Asset Tracking and Management (ATM) System

Accountability of all company assets is an increasingly important aspect of business today. The ATM system is designed to track assets in warehousing, parking, distribution, shop floor, harsh manufacturing or processing environments and outdoors. This system allows you to know where an asset is, who has access to it and the condition it is in. The ATM System can track assets moving along production lines, around buildings, warehouses or building sites. Auditing assets is time consuming and expensive but with ATM the time and expense incurred can be cut dramatically. ATM removes paperwork from the auditing process, increasing productivity and efficiency.
The basic ATM system includes the following units:

A personal computer based work station

Data transceiver

Portal mid/ long range readers

Portable readers

RFID tags

Assets are electronically tagged, by placing an RFID tag on them. A detailed information concern each device is stored in system data base and is identified by the unique tag number, a network of readers is set up to cover all the access points within the organisation. Tags come in various formats and types depending on their intended application. However they all have one thing in common: they use radio waves to communicate with the readers and each has a unique number.
The readers communicate with a central computer via a wireless link, to ensure staffs know where the assets are. If the assets move outside of a predefined range, a security alert can be initiated and an alert message will be sent to the pager of a designated staff member.
Staffs are allowed to pass through all gates, however if the assets are passed by an unauthorised personnel an alarm will be triggered.
A floor plan viewer to show where the asset is located can reduce time searching for assets in facilities such as; Hospital, Warehouses, Technology firm, Military stations, Schools, etc.
Software allows the user to have access to key parameters in simple and secure approaches. Real �time monitoring and asset/ staff information are available at any time.
The final configuration of the system can be tailored to customers requirements.
