Integrated Monitoring System For Nurseries
Work scope
The work should cover all development activities that are needed to design, supply,
assemble, and install a complete system working at a premises allocated by the
customer.
System objectives
The main objective of the system is to assist nursery’s staff in monitoring and
locating children at nursery premises electronically and visually using
integrated RFID tagging, video monitoring and access control systems.
In case of risky situation, an alarm should be initiated and a near by video
camera might be triggered to alert caring staff.
A unique identification code should be given to each child, staff or parent. The
system should recognise between each different tag holder, and able to read
multi-tags in one time.
System should alert in case of unused tags or tamper.
The monitored zone should cover all areas within the premises of the nursery.
Digital event recording and play back facilities should be included in the
system.
The system should be able to control all access points and handle emergency
situation in case of fire or building evacuation. All doors were electronically
locked, with the children and staff wearing tags to enable them to pass
through certain doors.
The possible application scenarios are basically involving all sorts of children
activity areas, access points, hazardous spots, children data, authorized
personnel, alarming, events recoding, and communications.
The central computer gathers information from each RFID reader within the
system, and implements a special tracking software to survey, manage,
record, and analyse as well as to set up rules specifying when and how
notifications of certain events occurring should be sent. Children information
and movement can be viewed on screen. Alarming can be set to take different
forms for different locations.
